Welcome to our site full of information about the former hamlet of Highfield, South Stoneham, but now part of Southampton, Hampshire.
This is not a commercial site, just an archive of great information for those searching for ancestors, or wanting to find a grave, or just interested in the history of the area.
It has been made possible thanks to enthusiasts who have a love for this kind of thing and we hope that you find the information and resources of interest.

Lest We Forget

Since 2010, we have worked on a project to try and document what happened to the people of Highfield and Portswood during the wars. It has been a privilege to share memories and family stories, and to work with the children of Highfield School too, their contributions can be found here,

This information has also been used during the annual Remembrance Services at Highfield Church to illustrate the lives of some of those civilians and service personnel lost and remembered by this parish.

If you have more details or even photographs of those listed on the lest we forget pages, we would be very pleased to include them, please contact us via email.
