In the 1851 census, Rhoda Nichols (b.1793, Staffordshire) was unmarried and lodging in Highfield, South Stoneham. Head of the household was P.R. Robin, (b. 1795, Cheshire) Curate of Christ Church, Portswood. Also present was a visitor E. Robin of Cheshire, and two domestic servants.
